Geoff has worked in the Zambian mining industry since 1973 where he started short range planning and optimisation using advanced mathematical modelling and linear programming techniques with NCCM Ltd. From 1979 he headed a multi-disciplinary Technical Services department responsible for Production Scheduling, Centralised Metallurgical Accounting, Operations Research, Organisation and Methods and Technical Computer Systems development.
In 1987 he became responsible for the technical liaison and troubleshooting for all metallurgical operations on the Copperbelt and NCCM’s lead and zinc operations at Kabwe and from 1988 to 1998 he worked in Corporate Planning, developing the company's longer term strategies.
After leaving ZCCM, Geoff has worked in management roles in business development and corporate affairs for a number of Zambian companies involved in metal trading, small scale mining and stone crushing.
Edgar Njobvu qualified with a Diploma in Electronics Engineering. His career spans 26 years in the Zambian Mining Industry where he started as a Senior Assistant Engineer – Instrumentation at the Kabwe mine. He was promoted to Sectional Engineer Instrumentation and Telecommunications, a position he held until the mine was closed in 1994. After then, he held a series Directorships culminating in being appointed in 2011 to the Boards of Enviro Processing Ltd and Enviro Properties Ltd, companies now owned by BMR.
